How much bleeding is normal in early pregnancy?

Asked 2 years ago

Hello ladies, I am 4 weeks pregnant and started bleeding a day ago. Although it's not much, I am concerned that this could be pointing to a possible miscarriage. Should I be concerned?

Spotting and some bleeding are 100% normal in all pregnancies. Some women report frequent spotting when carrying twins. Spotting is only a little blood, but bleeding is excessive blood to fill a pad. Either way, it is always best to have it checked at your OB-GYN because bleeding (more than spotting) can be associated with a miscarriage.
