When is the first day of your period cycle?

Asked 2 years ago

I want to track things such as ovulation and fertility window, but I don't know what marks the first day of your period in a cycle. Does anyone know?

The first day of your cycle is your period, which means the first day of full flow (spotting does not count). The uterus sheds its previous cycle's lining during this period. New follicles (sacs of fluid carrying eggs) begin to grow within your ovaries between days 1 and 5 of your cycle.
